We had so much fun at the pumpkin patch on Saturday! This is the first one that either Justin or I can remember ever going to, and we plan on making this a family tradition! What fun!
We were happy to have Mammaw, Gigi, and Grandpa go with us for the boys first experience! We went to the petting zoo part first, and the boys weren't quite sure what to make of it!
Will and Jack (looking really tired in this picture for some reason) |
Gigi was a huge help in showing the boys how to feed the animals, and she helped to get a bunch of goats over to see the boys!
They also saw one of the big longhorn cows and just stared at it! It was too funny!
And it just stared right back!
The boys' perspective...yikes! |
We had fun walking around the cute little farm
And taking a bunch of pictures! I just don't know why we hardly ever can capture smiles! They really are such smiley boys!
Will was NOT wanting to get picture with the pumpkins though. Poor guy! He's definitely going through an "I want Mommy" phase right now, and the combination of sitting him on pokey straw didn't help matters any!
Jack was pretty happy though!
There was a too much shade in this picture, but we just had to take a picture next to the 'Count Your Blessings' scarecrow ... we definitely thank God for our two blessings each and every day!
By this picture, Will was done with photo op time. Even in Mommy's arms he wasn't happy!
So we decided to take the boys on the barrel train ride! And their Daddy was in for the ride too ... all 6'7" of him! What a daddy!
Getting ready to leave for the ride around the farm
They absolutely LOVED the ride! They smiled, looked all around, and were very well-behaved! And Mommy and Daddy (especially!) weren't in too much pain by the time we got back!

There was a really neat tractor that we had to get a picture of the boys on! Justin has great memories of riding his grandpa's tractors growing up, so it was neat to get the boys on one!
Maybe Will will be a farmer ... he really loved that steering wheel!
And last but not least, we all went on a relaxing hayride all the way around the farm!
Some of the neat sights along the way...
We picked a pumpkin for each of the boys, as well as a little one to remember Jonathan!
What a fun place! I can't believe it took me 30 years to get to a pumpkin patch like this! The Steiner family is definitely coming back next year!
