Today was quite a wonderful day...again!! Justin and I got to the hospital early so we could see them when their touch times corresponded. Right now because of their different feeding schedules, 8 am and 8 pm are the only times when they're on the same schedule. Justin changed their diapers and spent a little time with them, then he had to be off to work. I got to stay for awhile longer and spend time holding both my boys! Jack still had his CPAP on, and hopefully will get it off tomorrow.
But the big news of the day is that Will's CPAP was taken off while I was there! Unobservant mommy here though...they did it while I was gone to pump, and I didn't even realize it was off! I guess I'm so used to looking at their eyes to over look the CPAP, that I didn't even realize that his nose and uncovered face were front and centered! I was so excited when the nurse said, "do you notice anything?!" We all got a good laugh out of it! So all he is connected to is his feeding tube and the lines that monitor his heart and breathing rates!

He is just so cute! His little nostrils were stretched out from the prongs, but even by the end of our kangaroo time, they were going down. He seemed so much happier to not have it on his face! We thought he would have a nasal cannula to give him a little bit of air still, but they said he was holding his own really well, and would only put it on if he seemed to need a little bit extra air. It was so wonderful holding him, and seeing every bit of him! Some people are saying he looks like me...I don't know. I think there are some things that are more me than Justin, but only time will tell. They are still so small and are going to change so much as they gain weight...we'll just have to see. They look different than Jonathan did, who looked exactly like his daddy, so we'll just have to see as time passes if they look like one of us or the other, or are just a good mixture! At least we know that they'll look like each other...they are definitely identical! They're just the cutest things ever!
And not to be left out of a post...a few pictures of Jack's Kangaroo time. You can still see the CPAP tubes he's connected to. He's going to be so happy once those are off like his brother's!! He is having about 8 episodes of bradys and apnea a day (low heart rate and breathing) but none have been too serious. Once he shows that he's got those under control a bit more, he'll be free as well! We just can hardly wait to see his face too! (Even though with identical twins, I guess we already know what it's going to look like! =)
So today has been a great day!!!! I feel like I'm just on cloud 9!! Now I'm going to try to get some extra sleep! Thanks for the prayers--they are sure working!
