On our way...

...to the Windy City!!

We are so looking forward to this little get away--even if it does include a major surgery for me! Justin and I just don't get away on "real" vacations much, and hope to more in the future. But we're okay with that, so it is fun to sneak in fun times in new places when we can!

We should be arriving in Chicago around 9:15, so we will have a full day of taking it all in! We've got lots to see (I hear) and many yummy things to eat. I can't eat after 4 am on Thursday (and my surgery isn't until 2:45--I think I might be hungry!), so I'm planning on enjoying myself today! ;-)

We have Justin's laptop with us, so hopefully he'll be able to post some updates after the surgery. I'm really not worried--God has given me a peace about this. I feel like He has lead us to this step--one that is very important to us in being able to have a family.

I hope you have a great rest of the week and weekend--don't know how soon I'll be up to posting, but I'm sure I'll want to share about our trip as soon as I can! Thank you so much for your prayers for us this week!

The Countdown...

Less than three days until we leave for Chicago!!! We are so excited! Thanks for all the great suggestions for things to do and places to eat while we are there. We are planning to pack as much as we can in! I will post more soon!

NEXT Thursday!!!

I just was able to move my TAC surgery up to next Thursday, June 11th!! So we are heading out to Chicago early Wednesday morning! I'm so excited!!! We attempted to move the surgery because of Justin's busy work schedule at the end of the month. I honestly didn't think they'd have anything open earlier, but they did! Now we just have to pray that the insurance/pre-certification stuff gets done QUICKLY!!!!

Thanks for your prayers next week--I will definitely keep updates coming!

Also...anyone have any good recommendations of must-see places in Chicago? Or must-eats? We are going a day early, so we are hoping to cram in as much as possible!! =)
